Would Toronto consider ROR, Kyrou and Krug for Mathews and Nylander?

I made zero trades.

We have good prospects in the rise that’ll start to fill depth roles and have 5 really dman under contract already

Anderson has played 2 games why is going to make 1m? he's a substitute 4th-line player atm. Timmins making 2m is crazy. he's a 7th defender whos who has under 44 NHL games. Knies is not a 2nd line player. rushing his development is only going to make him worse. look what happened with Robertson. Samsonov is lucky to get 3m forget about 4m

This is a much better explanation than just saying "delete this" - You have just learned a proper lesson in constructive criticism. Congratulations!

I agree that Anderson should get league min. Timmins should get under 1m. Knies could be placed several spots in the line up. They would move around based on fit. Him being in their top 12 is probable. Penciling him as a potential 2nd liner is not ludacris but it doesn't mean that's where he would end up. Sammy contract is hard to determine. I have a feeling that he may want a starting job and he might price himself out of Toronto. Time will tell. I would be happy with him at 3-3.5m a year but he may ask for 4-5m+ on the open market as a starter. Time will tell how that plays out.

I also think Kampf is under paid here.

But overall there is a chance that we have a bare minimum off season (like the OP suggested). We will see!

To be fair I did overpay and left cap space for criticism. Timmins will be a 2 million cap hit dman by season end. I doubt he comes out of the lineup with his play and ability the move the puck which Benn and Holl (sometimes) lack. Mete on the other hand is a little to careless in the defensively.

To his point about Robertson he’s been playing well but has had unlucky injuries whenever he gains traction. He’ll be a good player but it’ll take time.

Knies is far more ready in terms of size which makes me think he’ll play higher up the lineup. Even still if those doesn’t workout which is a possibility trade market at the deadline will allows us to add where needed.

The Stanley cup winning team isn’t built on day 1 of the season.

I like the fact that you didn't trade NHL cheap NHLer which are needed next year for short term gain this TDL.
Could quibble about a few bottom enders and maybe some $$$$ but looks pretty closer to reality to me.

I don’t think we are going the way of free agency anymore for big stars. If we do sign free agents it will be vets for depth.

We have a lot of young players that plays the style sheldon likes which would create more flexibility.

The buggest question mark imo would definitely be 2 line LW

Because of the cap.....I agree with your selection of LWer. Bunting, Robertson, Knies and Steeves. (hopefully Knies signs which isn't a guarantee).
