You do realize that you have Horvat going to Detroit and not Pettersson?

There’s no chance horvat gets traded without a 1st and an A prospect coming back. He probably returns 2 1sts and an A prospect not a bottom 6 forward and 2 b prospects with a 2nd.

Canucks decline.

His trade will be quality, not quantity.

Rather have 1 first and 1 A level prospect, instead of 5 or 6 C+/B- level assets

So by that standard (two 1st rounders and a "A" prospect) you are saying that Horvat is better than Eichel to get that return?

Yeah but that might be the 2nd thing you got Detroit and Vancouver fans to agree on.

Ok but Berggren has 9pts in his first 16 games. There are only 4 rookies producing at a higher rate and his 13 minutes of TOI a game ranks him 30th among rookies. Wallinder projects and a top 4 dman and just about every Detroit fan here wouldn't trade Wallinder and a 1st or 2nd for Horvat.

I think you may want to look at some of the prospect and scouts reviews of Wallinder and Berggren, Jonatan - its a little more than a 2nd and the Canucks can't bring cap back

I don't see a 1st rounder in that package

I think Red Wings fans would like to counter argue your valuations on Wallinder and Berggren. They probably consider both of them to be B to B+ level prospects

I’m basing it off the fact that Giroux returned a 1st a 3rd and a good prospect and copp returned 2 1sts and a good prospect last year and horvat is much better than both of them right now

The Giroux trade had cap retention of 50% for a team expecting to win the cup and a protected 1st round pick that if it was top 10 they get the 2025. Owen Tippett had a lot of hype around him but hasn't lived up to the expectation and Berggren if you watch him play is a solid prospect. Not to mention many pundits have Wallinder ceiling at a top 4 D man. So the reality then is basically take out Ras, and take out Berggren and Waillinder and 1st is what you saying?

Andrew Copp - which 1st round picks was he traded for? I may have missed that deal all together. I know the Rangers trade the picks moved were on conditional picks which turned out to be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd - however the 1st was originally a 2nd that turned into a 1st if the Rangers won 2 playoff series and Copp played in over 50% of the games.
