Description
I know this won’t happen. Have Horvat play the role that Haula has been playing, take faceoff then move to wing. At least he can score from Jack and Bratt’s feed. Sign him to an extension because Fitzgerald doesn’t want rentals. Who wouldn’t want Henrique back for a playoff run. No clue what to do with Blackwood. L Hughes makes the jump from college with Marino to help cover mistakes.

Horvat isn't going to play wing, And besides that offer doesn't get him. not a single piece there that would entice Vancouver to move him to the NJD.

Ehhh, Anaheim might consider that deal at the TDL. Johnson is a tough pull to swallow but that late in the season might be manageable.

I don't get this for the Devils.
Boqvist has played quite well at center and is in his peak years right now.
I don't see the point in the Devils needlessly parting with a 2nd and a valuable roster player just to get older for one or two cup runs.

This Horvat trade is an egregious overpayment by the Devils.
The Devils are giving up one of the strongest 5v5 performers in Tatar, an emerging top 6 winger in Zetterlund, one of the best NCAA defenders this season in Casey (as a freshman!) and a 1st...
All for a guy that's a perennial 2C that's having a career year rockin a shooting percentage at 21.5.
Disaster of a trade for the Devils.

It’s an enormous overpay. Zetterlund + Casey + 1st should easily be any available player at deadline.

Casey has been the best dmen in NCAA as a Freshman




Zetterlund is one of the better rookies this season
