Unfortunate they're both LHD. I'd like to see a Raty, Bolduc and a 2nd as the package.

Canucks say no because that it a lacklustre offer that addresses none of the Canucks needs. 2 meh prospects and a 1st doesn’t get you Horvat with retention.

They would need to like one of both of those prospects quite a bit. Unfortunately neither are RD.

I think Canucks pass because they will get an offer with a prospect that they prefer. But this is a decent starting point.

eh this feels like a good offer to me, so if it’s not enough for horvat isles should be out. can’t be wasting these assets on guys like horvat anyway, they needed to be in the market for a fiala or someone like that last offseason and were not sadly. meier is the only guy who’s worth the price tag for them IMO.

Islanders say no. Horvat is an upcoming UFA and is vastly overproducing he’s a career 2nd liner.

Both teams say no. Horvat isn’t a fit for the isles and Vancouver will target RHD prospects even if they’re not as good as Odelius

What would you define as a “meh” prospect?

B ranked prospects. They might make the NHL they might not. Not a huge loss if you trade them. I’d say they’re equivalent to like Rathbone and Klimovich in Vancouver. Like you’re getting one of the best goal scorers in the NHL right now, gotta give to get

The pieces offered aren't as interesting to Vancouver as their value suggests because not only do they not meet an organizational need, they add to an organizational surplus. Wingers and LHD are the last things that Vancouver needs.

Odelius floor is a #4 D , he's a much better prospect than Rathbone/Klimovich. Bolduc I agree.

Horvat would be a terrible fit on the isles, they have 2 centers better than him despite Horvat overachieving this season
