Pretty sure the Hawks won't accept this trade. The roster players your sending to the Hawks aren't anything special and a 2nd rounder isn't getting Toews retained and JJ.

I figured this is the response I would get in regards to the value lol. I have a hard time parting with the 2023 1st but if that's what it takes, that's what it takes! I also figured that given the fact Toews has complete control over where he ends up and WPG being his most likely destination, maybe there is a discount to be had.

You and me will never know for sure. I'll admit it's entirely possible. who knows. I posted a team while back and a few WPG fans responded that they'd only give up a 1st if they're at or near the top of the division come the TDL. WPG has a good team and I do think he's a good fit. What's the #29 pick anyway??? It's really a magic bean. Not nothing, but it's not a ton of value either.

if that is the case i could see it being closer to the Giroux trade but slightly less since he is a lesser player.

If Jets really don't want to part w/ their 1st rounder, Hawks would probably be more open to accepting the two picks in your original proposal if Harkins and Vasy were replaced w/ a young F prospect w/ some top 6 upside - like a Chinokov or someone like that. Hawks really need to add some young F depth.

Hey do you know wtf is going on with Chibrikov?

Websites are saying he hasn't played a game this season, cant find any other info about if he's injured or whats going on.

Chibrikov has had a rough year, 17gp (1pt) in the KHL with Moscow Spartak, 12gp in the VHL (5pts) & even 3gp all the way down in the MHL. Very inconsistent playing time as well. I think a move to North America next year with consistent minutes in the AHL would do him well.

Fair trade in my opinion!

Hawks fans are going to be very disappointed in a toews trade if it happens. One he is old his not worth what you think and to top that off he has a full move and will likely one have 1 maybe 2 places he will waive it for means hawks have no ****ing leverage... See flyers and Giroux who went for less than his value about he would only waive his NTC for 2 teams. Now maybe the hawks just won't move him than but if he's moved it will be for less than his value.
