-Dvorak is a clear downgrade from Johansen and Byron is done. There's no value here for Nashville, and that's before you get to them throwing in a pair of picks. Johansen might not be worth all of his $8M, but he's more of a "slightly overpaid guy" than "pay to dump for a worse player and a dead cap hit".
-I like this deal for Nashville but I'm not sure why Columbus would do it. Ekholm is a good player but I just don't think they take him on with his age and cap hit - they already have Eric Gudbranson as an anchor-contract-in-waiting, I don't think they need another.
-Too hefty a price to pay for Toronto when this basically just upgrades 4C (assuming Granlund slides into 3C and bumps Kampf down to 4C. I think it would be hilarious to see what stat line a distributor like Granlund can put up on the Leafs if he got to play with any of the big names, but I just don't think the value makes sense for the Leafs.
-I'd pass if I were the Isles. Adding Duchene's age-32 through -34 seasons at $8M to the pile of over-30 deals they already have on the books feels like playing with fire, especially if it means giving up one of the few young forwards that has shown any sort of promise.
-This is a weird one, I wonder if the Rangers would consider it. I think I'd want the 1st to be conditional if I'm sending it out, with the condition being that it's the lower of the two 1sts they currently own. Blais & Kravstov are basically filler at this point on the Rangers, and picking up a guy on a 30 goal pace would be a boon for them (even if he's on a 30-9-39 pace, as absurd as that looks), especially at $2M this year and next.
-This feels awful for Florida. Reinhart is a legit top 6 threat who was a PPG player last year and is still at a 55 point pace this year with strong analytics; Gudas is a strong defender at RD3 if not much else. All this deal does is make their team significantly worse in the top 6 while clearing cap - something they can probably do by offloading Patric Hornqvist instead. I get what you're going for here, and I know Florida's in a bad spot, but I don't think they're in -that- bad of a spot that they offload Reinhart.
