2. It frees up cap to give Freddy G (GM and coach favorite) a raise next year.

The Hartman deal probably needs more from the Leafs for MIN to let him go. A (sudden) 30 goal guy making very little money is exactly what they need given their Suter-Parise cap issues

Both Xhekaj + '23 2nd have more value to MTL than Robertson individually, and it's proposed here to trade both for a guy who isn't worth that to MTL nor is he wanted in MTL.

Xhekaj is an AHL defenseman at best, he's not an NHL level defenseman, and wont be for quite some time. He can fight and hit, but other than that, I don't see any particular strengths in his game, whereas Robertson is a skilled winger who has middle 6 potential if he can stay healthy
