I raised the question of Knies in a recent proposal's thread.. if Knies checks the boxes as a top prospect, this may get it done.

Konecny is good. I honestly don’t see Philly trading him and putting the ‘C’ on his chest next Fall. That being said Knies plays a Philly style and looks good. The first is probably late but in a deep draft. Engvall is the cap dump. Toronto does overvalue it’s prospects though, I’d be asking for both Niemela and Knies but I didn’t want to give Leaf fans heart attacks.

If Knies has the potential to be a high-end 2C in the NHL, the deal is well worth it for the Flyers. Rather, if Knies becomes a high-end 2C in the NHL, the deal is WELL worth it for the Flyers and maybe questionable for the Leafs unless they win the cup this year with Konecny on board.

Every fanbase overvalues it's prospects not just us.

Knies is a pure LW.

Ha, ha fair enough, although most fanbases focus on their first rounders. Leaf fans call fourth round picks ‘untouchable’.

Ah, capfriendly shows him as center/left wing, and I thought I had read somewhere a while ago that he was a center too!

Haven't really heard that, but ok. Gee what a surprise that Moxnix liked this one, his Leaf radar must have gone off. To be fair there are some untouchable later round picks for a lot of teams, not really for us though.

A couple of Leaf fans is a bit different than "Leaf fans call fourth round picks ‘untouchable’" is all I am saying. He was not a fourth round pick either, but I do get your point.

The team views him that way though. Will he be a great player? Who knows...I mean aside from the know it all "geniuses" on here that say he sucks of course.

I think Neimela started off the year as untouchable, but with the play of Liljgren, Sandin and some of the other young guys, fans will now be a little more apt to move him for a win now situation. I'd prefer not to move him if we don't have to.

Personally, I don't think he's a need for Philly, considering York, Attard and Zamula are all pretty much ready to crack the everyday line up and Provorov, Risto and Sanheim are all long term. But a team in Philly's position should probably look to add depth and improvement at every position.
