Without retention on Myers, You're going to need a lot more than just a 4th round pick attached to him.

If we just hang on to Myers till the 2024 deadline and retain 50% we'll get a pick for him. Lets be honest we're not going anywhere quickly so we can wait on him.

This would not be a bad idea for Arizona if the trade happened at the beginning of next season, when Myers' signing bonus is paid.

Although Myers has a cap hit of $6m, he will only be owed $1m in actual salary next season. So effectively ARI get a veteran RD for minimal salary cost.

Since Arizona do not have Little on LTIR this season anyway (because their roster is nowhere near the cap limit and they don't need the cap relief). So switching Little's cap hit of $5.2m for Myer's cap hit of $6m is probably worth it to have a contributing player and the 4th round pick that the original poster suggested.

Bryan little is 100% covered by insurance, they save more money with Little

If they don't pay Myers $1m to play RD then they will have to pay someone else a minimum of $750k to play RD. So they can keep Little and save $250k, or take Myers and spend an extra $250k for 1 season and net themselves a 4th round pick.

Arizona are cheap but they're not dumb.

AZ will just trade for Myers for a mid round pick and keep Little. They have little revenue so both contracts will be huge for them. There will also be teams bidding for Myers after the bonus.
