Rental Tank isn’t going to pry a 1st from NJ. Our GM is vocally anti-rental

Tbf when would Fitzgerald have been in the position to consider trading for rentals, so pretty much empty rhetoric. Now that team is in playoff position and competitive his tune may change. Maybe not this year, but in near future - he’ll be under pressure to gear up especially when teams in your division are doing it.

Greiss will not be back. Hofer will be up by then.

You said it yourself “maybe not this year”
Far as I’ve heard, the org is riding out their current forward groups and any rental wouldn’t be one that is any sort of splash like this.

I know ROR is having a down year, but I’d be interested. Would much prefer finding a way for the deal to center around a 2024 1st though.

He is willing to move futures or young players, but wants to do it in off-season. Any movement at deadline will likely be minor. So, without an extension, I’d guess Tarasenko would be a long-shot.
