If Florida needs LD, Sabres have plenty of good LD prospects

Dude, I would do that Krug trade now. You can even keep Bryson. Hell, you could probably get him for just Duclair straight up. Also, you're wildly overpaying for Leivo.

That’s just a bit too much for Knight
Especially since he’s been playing just “ok” so far in the NHL,
& hasn’t exactly looked like a “franchise” goalie yet

I think a more realistic trade would be:
Piece1: good young goalie
-Portillo- highly rated, playing in NCAA at Michigan
or
-UPL- been splitting between AHL & NHL, looked good lately

Piece 2: since u need LH defensemen
-R.Johnson- our top LD prospect, plying in NCAA at Minnesota

*both NCAA guys are ready to sign

Additional pieces: idk how much more we’d give you guys, but…
-we do have three 2nds this year, so we could give 1 up- idk about giving you 2 though

i really don't see a dominate player in knight right now, he just isnt worth 5 pieces.
potential is there, but sabers literally have like 4 of the top 15 goalie prospects in levi, portillo, UPL and Leinonen.
if this was Philly with heart it be different story because he is still young but proved capable in NHL.

This knight trade is a joke. Not one single useful piece.

Buffalo has not need for Knight so you can keep him.

Cool. Never said that. I said those are useless pieces in this trade.

Rosen just had 2g and 3pts today and 15 pts in the A. Hes one of the best prospects in Buffalo and Buffalo's pool is significantly better than Florida's therefore he'd be Florida's best prospect

He’s a winger who has zero place in Florida.

Yeah but Florida is competing now not rebuilding for the last 15 years. The last thjng the panthers need is another winger prospect. If knight is traded which will never happen cause bob will be bought out in the off season it would be for a power type prospect.

Who won’t help the team for 3 years. Knight is the best goalie on this team. Doing this trade significantly makes this a non playoff team. The trade isn’t a good trade for Florida. There’s no help now.

Competing now means 2 1st round exits and 4 rounds of playoffs since 2013? In the last 15 years they've had only 2 more playoff appearances than Buffalo lol. You should have been rebuilding. Knight and every goalie in the league do not carry that much value. There is no goalie in the league worth Power

Florida has no prospects and legitimately the worst bottom 9 in the league

Never said he Carries that much value but you’re trading for one of the best young goalies who panthers have zero desire to trade. They isn’t gonan give them up for scraps. And their bottom 9 is not bad you just have no idea who they are. Their defense is the worst in the league not their bottom 9. Why on earth would they rebuild. We have 10 players under 28 and some coming into their prime. If they had a competent coach and one better d man they’d be top 5 like last year. Prospects are not what this team needs.

I'm not defending the trade, you said their wasn't a single useful piece which is just flat out false. The Panthers will probably miss out on a wild card spot. Self admittedly their D is the worst in the league and their forwards aren't good and they have little to no cap to fix it in free agency

There is little use in the trade. One good prospect and one they trade in the agm and 2 2nds. That’s little help for them. And they have like 16 million in cap space this summer with just gudas to resign. And bob buyout is probably coming. They have a strong group of forwards. They only lost marchment from last year before the deadline when they still had the number one offense so it’s the same team essentially. It’s the d that’s horrible that’s why this team is bad on top of the new coaching scheme which is horrible

I agree with all your points but
If Tampa offered Vasy for power I’m taking that easy
