Curious from NYR

Created by: Pikey_777
Team: 2022-23 Calgary Flames
Initial Creation Date: Dec. 29, 2022
Published: Dec. 29, 2022
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I know it’s a lot to give up, but Tanev is a piece that makes them much better. Calgary needs to make some moves to stay competitive with the future in mind.
This also helps with cap constraints next year

AZU declines, that seems like an overpay to NYR

Both teams decline IMO. Schneider seems practically untouchable and, while he hasn't proven to be worth his draft pedigree, Lafreniere has more value to NYR than he's likely to have to any opposing fans. If I were to break it down, the trade reads like Pelletier and the 2024 1st for Laf (shy for what the Rangers would need to move him) and Tanev for Schneider (age, injury, and cap issues make this untenable).

As for the ARI trade, Phillips is a tweener at this point and, while Kylington is solid, he's not what they'd want as the main piece. Given the lack of quality players going their way, the fact that it's only one 1st completely sewers the trade.

Is that why NYR are still cap compliant after the trade or was addition optional at your advanced schools?

Next year you tool. I will not even try to explain why this trade won't happen because I believe it is beyond your ability to understand.

at some point you'd think you'd actually check that for yourself and see how this trade is a total win for NY

Total inability to understand basic stuff, I'm not surprised... but before you criticises math skills of others you should perhaps master them yourself?

Instead of jumping from one subject to another because you lack the ability to explain your own stupid claims.

@AG_sweden and @TheeDjeeEem outside of the unnecessary back and forth, I think it shows that the trade value is close. When people are arguing for both sides it’s usually a decent trade. But I appreciate the banter, cheers

Schneider is the most valuable player in that deal, and even WITH his troubles, LaFreniere has more value than one year plus of Tanev for a variety of reasons, including age and cost. Whether you consider the trade LaFreniere for Pelletier and the future first and Schneider for Tanev, like @SupremeBone, or Schneider for Pelletier and the 2024 first and LaFreniere for Tanev, NY has an easy No, thanks because each one of the four arms favors Calgary.

Not by a mile. And what you just said makes no sense. How is arguing back and forth a sign if it being close?
