Blues sale perfect timing

Description
St. Louis finally on the outside of the playoff picture this year it's a fire sale perfect timing for them and the league, a bright future with Kyrou, Parako, Thomas, babrbeshev, off season signings.

But I'm going for Tarasenko here for fire power instead of O'Reilly, I get ROR is a Toronto kid and maybe he's the piece that comes in but I'm targeting Vladdy.

Especially if ROR is the third line centre to strengthen the lineup, vladdy on the wing in the top 6 could possibly be more dangerous.

Holl, Timmins are really playing well, Sandin is beloved and he's not bad those guys are expendable if the Leafs want another top 4 or maybe those guys can get it done. I think you have to use Timmins or sandin to get a rental at the end of the day 1 guy has to sit out since, Brodie, Rielly, liligren, giordano are the 4 guaranteed regulars...they'll sit gio or lil at their peril.

As a blues fan I take this and run. But this is a big overpayment for Tarasenko

Chicago declines, their in a rebuild, trading away some of their more relevant pieces without getting a draft pick doesn't make much sense, Robertson isn't looking excessively impressive.

Toronto is overpaying for Bjugstad.

If St. Louis is selling Tank, they're getting that 2023 1st and not waiting until 2024.

Fair , in that case I hope the Leafs grab him... considering they gave the blues Alex Steen a while back. Ha

Hawks decline. Robertson is the only piece that's remotely interesting, and he can't stay healthy. This deal is just bad from the Hawks side.

How so? please, explain.

Robertson is a LW, on a team that has no top-6 LW on it, and can barely keep a roster spot on a borderline league minimum contract. Mete and Anderson have almost no value, no teams are calling to see if they are available. Kallgren is questionable as to whether he will ever be a true NHL goalie, kid has some good games, then looks in over his head.

Steeves and Amirov > Bjugstad, how am i wrong here?

and why would St-louis want a 2024 pick? if they are shedding the dead weight, they would want to stock the system ASAP, especially in a forecasted deep draft.

3 good players that can't get into the lineup because of spots can play right away in chicago and a good goalie with the same issue but add a second or third round pick I guess would put a stamp on it

All those guys can play right away in chicago, the 2 prospects are good players with little NHL experience perfect for Arizona, you get a cheap good defenseman in sandin 2024 first, 2023 third (stock your system right away) for a rental that could come back to your team after the playoffs. I doubt any team is sending away a 2023 first for a rental.

I don't agree that all those players can "play right away" in Chicago, but that's not even the point. If the Hawks are going to trade (and retain on) 2 of their better players, they want picks and prospects back to help their rebuild. Robertson is the only one of the 4 who's an actual prospect. Keep Kallgren, Mete and Anderson on the Marlies where they belong and give the Hawks something they actually want.

Ok fine but I think they can play right away.

Okay, first of all, there's no fire sale coming any time soon. Secondly, the Leafs are never going to offer all that.

I think your leafs bias is a little strong on the Chicago and St-Louis trades.

Why would Chicago want B level prospects when they can likely get better options in the upcoming draft?... Domi has value right now, especially at retained $1.5M, I think they would likely get better options elsewhere

and for some reason, you're giving away Toronto's future for Bjugstad.... Toronto should keep Steeves and Amirov

Tank has made it clear he wants out of St-Louis, he won't be going back, Toronto is giving a lot, but again, if St-Louis is giving up on their season (which I don't think they are), they would likely want to re-tool faster, given they have a pretty solid team, goaltending is their major issue right now

And "I doubt any team is sending away a 2023 first for a rental" Florida literally shipped a 1st for Chiarot, and it's been well aware the 2023 draft was expected to be deep at the time they made the trade. Teams will ship a 1st, and hope they win a cup making it a late 1st at best.

I gotcha but also st Louis has a good team outside of Tarasenko already.

Steeves is a solid third liner if he gets a shot in the NHL and he's young, amirov was my mistake he's battling cancer I think so he's not getting moved.

I don't think st Louis is "giving up" on their season I just think they might finally just miss the playoffs is all and yeah would become sellers with O'Reilly and Tarasenko but as I said their team is still very solid, so getting back some future guys makes sense and at least one first rd for each guy, the way I see it.

I'm making a new Leafs team I'm addicted to this acgm but I've changed my opinion I think there's no way in hell kerfoot, Holl or engvall moves all being upcoming ufas and if Dubas trades pieces slated for the future team like sandin and samsonov and it doesn't work out this year he's canned for sure.

Dubas is in a bigger pickle than I even thought so I basically disagree with all my teams now because I think the Leafs will be lucky to add one guy considering the cap and the status of the current guys.
