I remember seeing/hearing that Horvat isn't all that great defensivly. I guess anything is an improvement on JTM. If the Avs were moving a 1st and Newhook for JTM(with his antics), I would want his 2nd deal heavily retained on. Van fans will hate the return and Avs fans will hate JTM. Fair?

Look at Colorado's salary cap situation next summer? They've less than $12,500,000 to sign 10 more players. Miller eats $8,000,000 of it and Byram probably eats the rest. Sakic would need to move at least Girard if not more to make the cap work.

I wouldn't touch Miller with a 10 foot pole, he cant play Centre, hes a poor defensive winger with some finishing ability. Hes an easy pass.
