That Jeannot trade wouldn’t even be taken seriously by the Preds.

Hawks would take that for sure, but no way the Leafs offer all that for Kaner.

I know it’s an overpay, but seeing as it would have to be a 50% retain, that gives the hawks some leverage and there will be a lot of good offers out there for Kaner

Kane controls where he goes. Best offer might not be the one which gets Kane.

It's MAYBE an overpay, but only slightly, IMO. Also, it really depends on what Robertsons value is. Personally, I am over him. I don't think he has as much value as he would've had this time last year. Minten is definitely a nice prospect, but I think Moldenhauer is the TOR prospect I am most interested in right now. I'm just one person though.
