Devils will have better offers for Kovalchuk. He won't go to the Penguins.
      Missouri liked this.

So what's the pitch your giving to MAF to get him to waive his NMC and go to VGK?

I agree and penguins are not interested in trading Olli Maatta!

My pitch is the fact that MAF's wife was spotted in Vegas looking at houses, and, schools for their kids. And reports (from Sportsnet) are saying that Macfee is willing to to make MAF the face of the franchise. Soooo its pretty much a done deal. Also, people keep acting like Fleury is going to be some malicious person and hold PIT ransom with his NMC. He's not. He's routinely called the best teammate, locker room guy, professional. He knows his time is up in PIT, and being the classy guy he is, he knows what he has to do for the team that has treated him so well over his career.

If they were smart they will. He has been awful all season. Routinely beaten by averagely fast skaters and is on the ice for an unsettling amount of goals against. People are so blinded by the fact that he was amazing his rookie year that they think management won't trade him. Let's just be simple: HE'S BAD NOW AND SHOWING NO SIGNS OF GETTING BETTER.

Better than a 1st Line RW on a cheap contract who's 4 years younger and arguably the best net front presence in the league PLUS a Hobey Baker finalist prospect who immediately started scoring when he got to the AHL post-college (8 points in 10 games) PLUS two second rounders?

For a guy in Kovy who is a huge risk to even be close to his former self anyway. You're out to lunch my friend.

Iggy reportedly bought a $4.5 million house in Boston back in April....guess we should just go ahead a pencil him into the B's lineup right?
