Description
Here are the 10 leading defensemen point scorers in order. Do you think Karlsson will hold his pace and score 100 points and win the Norris or do you think someone else will win. Also now that the Avs are a bit healthier do you think Makar will go on a tear and catch up to Karlsson? Who do you think will win the Norris?

Karlsson, if he stays healthy, appears to have stranglehold on scoring race and Norris. Dahlin and Makar could close the the point gap. Morrissey possibly. But among those four for scoring race.

For Norris, take those four, add Hampus Lindholm and there is your top-5.

1. Karlsson
2. Dahlin
3. Lindholm
4. Makar
5. Morrissey

Norris still has some antiquated voters who think being on a winning team and +/- matter which is why i think Dahlin wins it.

Both of those things should matter. Plus / minus (in proper context) and being on a winning team are not antiquated.

What humors me are those that scoff at +/- as some old useless stat, but throw GF% around as some hip, new, modern, whiz-bangy stat.

My gripe with Norris trophy is that it’s become too much of a offensive/points award. I’d love to see the Slavins, Sigenethalers of the league get more recognition.

Same here. Hell Slavin would have like at least 3-4 of those over the course of his career.

Wouldn’t that mean Dahlin doesn’t win it he is not on a winning team

The problem is I’m not giving major awards to players on a*s teams

So I’m not gonna give it to Karlsson sorry I just can’t do it instead it’ll probably be either Fox or Makar again

Same with players on mid teams only with a little more consideration

It’s the same problem with Sorokin last season he had good numbers but the islanders were a complete flop so he didn’t get nominated
