Part of the reason the Canucks would move Boeser is to free up cap space. This trade doesn’t do that

If they buyout Silfverberg they do.

But that just adds dead cap for an additional season after next. Still doesn’t make sense for them

Vancouver passes, Doesn't save them any money.

Plus Brock Boeser at full value, Doesn't return anywhere close to that kind of value.

TB doesn't have the cap space to do that at the deadline

The Vancouver trade makes zero sense for either team involved.

Defense signings are two guys I would like to have but both probably cost more in AAV. I don't think Monahan is the guy, we need wingers, specifically on the left side, which I see he can play.

Convince me that Nieto and Blueger are necessary pieces when we have kids to give ice time to.

Jesus, a 25 2nd and a 23 4th for retaining 3.5 mil, that's a rather ****e return given the main pick is three drafts from now.

Trades ain’t it

I’d like the Graves deal while not really any of the other UFA signings — maybe Schenn

I’d love both the Zegras and Terry deals but what is that Drysdale contract?

You have to retain 3.5M because you overpaid the guy by 2M LOL. You think your getting anything for Klingberg without retaining? Seems like Ducks fans though they were getting a free 1st for signing Klingberg and now can't accept the reality that hes just not worth that. If GMs thought he was worth a 1st or a blue chip prospect dont you think he wouldve gotten one of those deals that Reilly, Parayko, Lindholm etc got last year?

The complaint is that it's a 2nd THREE DRAFTS from now. We will be entering our contention window when we draft whoever we get for that pick. Yeah, we may not get a 1st for Kling at this point, we recognize that, but if we're getting a 2nd it's going to be this year, not in 2025.

No one in Ducks world cares about the actual action of retaining on Klingberg. If the team is going to trade him with that as a consideration though it's going to be better than a 4th and a 2nd three years from now.

No one is just going to take a trash return just to get rid of him. That's ridiculous

The only teams I see being interested in him are Tampa and Washington. Hard to get what you want when you have no leverage as no other playoff teams have a need for him.

Bare minimum someone will offer a second this year.

No one's expecting a Brandon Hagel return but a 2022 second and a decent prospect isn't out of reach
