No way Devils do it. They need 3 years of ELC from Nemec.
Sabres one is tempting, but since they have no use for Jake Allen, it's a pass.
NYR pass for sure

The Sabres are not interested in trading Levi, they aren't trading him to a divisional rival for a pile of nothing. And yes that 1st is nothing compared to Levi. Habs fans need to stop. There is nothing in MTLs franchise that they could offer

I don't think that New Jersey wants or needs Caufield that badly or that Edmonton needs Hoffman at all -- even with the retention, you're adding $4 million in cap to a team that is over the limit now and only OK because they've got guys on the LTIR list.

Agree about Levi, but that 1st would be helpful in this draft, probably gonna be close to where the D prospects should start coming of the board.

They have a 1st and possibly 4 2nds, with only 1 need. On top of the best prospect pool in the league. I could care less about picks. They could draft 4 of the top 5 RD in this draft with the picks they have, that's more than enough

Very true and like I said I wouldn't do the trade, but a 1st is not a waste right know for this draft and possibly using it to get a good RD that can play now.

Buffalo fans are butt-hurt to lose Levi. He will play in Montreal.

Lol. The Jets aren't giving up the best player in the deal adding a first and taking back a long term cap dump.

The Jets just don't have the equal long term, bad contacts that would need to go back to Montreal to allow Montreal to dump Anderson.

Yeah, maybe when we play in Montreal, pretty much can guarantee he signs with Buffalo March 6th if Northeastern doesn't make the show, and right now they are on the outside looking in.

It's that offer or Dubois walks for nothing (to Montreal) as a UFA.

Well, since he doesn't want to trade him, I guess that is OK.

It sounds like you don't understand how contracts or trades work. The Jets will either sign him long term or trade him elsewhere. He can't walk for nothing unless the Jets let him. Which is unlikely.

Yeah, at the end of 24-25, he becomes UFA and can sign wherever, in which case the Jets get nothing in return. Perhaps you should educate yourself with the difference between RFA and UFA...

It sounds like you need education and reading comprehension. This is for this summer when he is an RFA. He'll either sign long term in Winnipeg or will be traded before he gets to UFA.

So, do some research on RFA and UFA, learn the difference and try again.

I think Winnipeg fans are even more butt-hurt than Buffalo fans. Maybe I'll start a poll about it.

Don't whine that you are butt hurt. Learn about contracts a bit, grow up, use common sense in a trade proposal and try again.

Oof, that EDM trade is grotesque for many reasons.
