The amount on the contract doesn’t really matter but we see all the time that teams lock up young players who haven’t necessarily shown themselves

I'd love to see laf go to Arizona, they need some hope to add to their top pick this year. But i don't really see why NYR would deal him

Why? Laffy is on the trade block and Schmaltz is a really cheap RW option. I’m a rangers fan and looking at Othmann and Cuylle I don’t see a world where all three coexist.

As a rangers fan I would hate for Laffy to go but we have Othmann and Cuylle who both look like they are going to be in the NHL next year and Laffy just isn’t working out for the rangers.

AZ getting fleeced on that deal and the extension is absolutely brutal

Laf is not on the block…

Cuylle is gonna be a 3rd line guy, not top 6, Twitter overhypes the kid way too much lol. Othmann can play right wing and said he’s comfortable doing so. It’s foolish to give up on a first overall this early if we are getting jack **** in return

Yes, trade a 1OA for a cheap RW option. Genius. But we knew that when you mentioned he's on the trading block.

Next question you pay Laffy 7.5 M for 7 years so that means you see a bright future, hence then why should NYR take your "Rw" option with much less potential, throw in Cooley and we talk, but if you think you can be cheap you ain't getting him.

There was a lot of noise when he was healthy scratch for one game, teams called up and checked NYR about Laffy. This is not the same as NYR having him on the trade block and or actively shopping him...
