Not crazy about trading for Robertson until we see how he is post-injury, but if this is the best offer on the table I think the Sharks would take it.

-I'd think the Islanders would ask for more for Mayfield, especially if you're kicking the pick back a year. It's close, but needs a little more.

-I would think the Sharks hold out for more. If you believe that the Devils are dangling Alex Holtz as the centerpiece of a deal, I think this would easily get beat - Robertson is a big question mark at this point, and while Niemela is a solid prospect, I just don't think he's quite at Holtz's level.

Probably add a 4th in 2025 and that would get it done, you'd have to think, right?

Expensive trade, but the Leafs would probably feel comfortable with this.

Mayfield's best comp as a player is Josh Manson - who was traded for a '22 2nd and Drew Helleson fully retained at the deadline last year. The big difference is that Mayfield's full cap hit is less than what Manson's retained hit was, so I'd argue he's probably worth more than that. From Toronto, I'd say it'd have to be a pretty good prospect coming back, especially since you kicked the pick out a year - not Knies, obviously, but someone from that Niemiela/Minten tier below him.

Not interested for SJ. Kerfoot is a dump, LTIRobertson has no value. Niemela and a low first is not for Meier retained

I highly doubt anyone is giving a 1st for Mayfield unless they are seriously desperate. NYI also gave up Toews for 2 seconds. That would be the high end in terms of return imo
