Is it? Late 2nd, late 4th, underperforming cap dump for two years of a second pair, bug shut down D at a good price.

Do you remember how much Chiarot got sold for? This package is less than what Chiarot was sold for, and a first round pick wasn't moved (unless Edmonton wins the Cup).
Edmundson has over 45 playoff games in the last 5 years, combined with 2 Stanley Cup finals and a Cup in that span. His play style, not to mention his leadership qualities, fits what Edmonton's D-Core needs. As well, he's got another year on his contract at a very affordable price. To be honest, I don't even think that the Habs would make this move in reality. I head they were asking for Bourgeault +.

I could definitely see the value of having a guy like Edmundson on your team, but he will be a bottom-pairing addition. If you deem two picks and a controllable, albeit mediocre, middle-6 winger the price then I don't see how Montreal could decline it

its at least a realistic like package. I am not a fan of the Monahan fit but if he was cheap enough I wouldnt mind it.
Just dont like any top 6 picks for him bc of his healthy issues. Cant be investing those higher pick in a guy who is always hurt
