Blues probably aren't calling their window closed, they'll continue being a mediocre team for the foreseeable future. They won't be selling on guys with term on Buchnevich.

    He's not available.

And I'm sorry, did a Leafs fan just say "they'll continue being a mediocre team for the foreseeable future"? Yikes.

Well they have a bad defense locked in for term, bad goaltending locked in for term, are losing 1 or 2 of their top 6 forwards, probably their best non-top 6 forward, they don't have internal options to reasonably replace them and most of the cap space created is going to new deals already in place. Is there any reasonable expectation this team is going to be better next season than this season which they are going to miss the playoffs in? Nope. You can cope all you want about it but thats the fair outlook for the Blues.

Knies and 2 firsts I think
Only cause I assume Army will only trade him for an overpay.

thats too steep, Knies and a 1st is probably the value. Would probably ask for another prospect as well

Congratulations. That is a lot of ignorance and supposition for one paragraph. You must be stuffed. Meanwhile, none of it changes the hilarity of a Leafs fan trying to trash another team for remaining in mediocrity, especially when that team has not been mediocre much in recent years. You go girl, throw that "shade"!

I notice you can't actually address any of which makes me believe I'm correct ... which kind of standard for you. You can never address legitimate points so you act like you don't have to. It's never an argument of facts with you, it's an argument of how you feel and if you don't feel the same way they must be wrong. A constant string of large Blues bias.

I'll sum it up with 1 simple question for you that you can address. Why would we have a reasonable assumption the Blues will be better next season than they have been this one?

The Blues haven't been mediocre? When was the last time they were a contender? The Blues haven't been a threat to do anything for any of the past 3 seasons.

1- Uhh no, shnookums. I made a remark about the humor in a Leafs fan taking shots at another team for remaining in mediocrity, and you tap-danced right around my obvious point to try arguing how the Blues will be mediocre going forward - which, again, was not the point of my remark - and expecting me to jump on your little rant instead.

2- Wow. Coming from a Leafs fan, I don't even have to say anything back to that. I can just sit back and let you stew in that error in judgment. But it is adoooorable how you picked a three-year span. Just... (chef's kiss). Thanks, man. I need a bemused smile after today's crapfest in Colorado. That was just the tonic.

So to expect the Blues future we should go longer than 3 years? Is that where you are going? They were good 4 seasons ago so they may be good next season?

I still find it hilarious how you can't actually argue any of your points. You are just sitting here to be a punching bag. The Blues are a bad team this season are likely to be a worse team next season. You might not like it and continue to dance around it but the facts its based on don't change. At least we get to enjoy all the Blues fans on here selling off while their team refuses to do so.

I never understood this logic, just cause you cheer for a trash team doesnt mean you cant call out another team for what it is. Are you telling me Coyotes fans cant call out the Blackhawks for being trash?

They won't but they could be good again in 2 season. I don't think the blues move Buch unless it's a severe overpay. We can always just re-sign him to a contract after 3 years
