If the difference between calling up one of those guys or having Edmundson is Erik Portillo AND our 1st round pick, then yes, I would call those two up 100 times out of 100.

His defensive metrics are near the bottom among d-men seeing top 4 ice time. At best, this indicates a player who should be playing way fewer minutes.

Regardless, He's not at all built for how the Sabres play.

I disagree that Davies or Prow could do better than Edmundson against other teams top 2 lines night after night while having guys who can’t defend like : Caufield Anderson Hoffman Drouin etc

He is on the top line, where Pilut played sheltered minutes. for 3rd pair on a good team he may be fine, ain't no chance they're moving the 1st for him but VGK 2nd and a goalie that's going ufa anyway
