Edmonton won't be trading Barrie and they won't trade a first pick for middle of the road stuff. it would have to be a top 6 forward with term or a shutdown left shot D.

There's a deal to be made with Edmonton but that isn't it. Toronto doesn't need to move a 1st to get Bert from us so I don't think saying well throw more in makes them do it.

That Edmonton trade makes no sense for Detroit. Puljujärvi is garbage I wouldn't trade Zadina for him straight up. Barrie is a good dman but he's 31 and the 25yr old Hronek is playing just as good as Barrie. At this point with the 6 year age gap I wouldn't trade Hronek for Barrie straight up and a end of the round 1st isn't worth giving up Hronek and Kubalik.

It's not favors it's price, Bert's value isn't a 1st right now so you don't pay a 1st to get him.

Bert's value isn't a 1st for most teams. It is for Toronto. Division rivals pay over market value.
