Blackhawks projected 2025 lineup

Team: 2024-25 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Feb. 2, 2023
Published: Feb. 2, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The defense looks really good if all of them pan out. lots of options on that backend. The offense is pretty good, but I doubt all of the players work out. Should be a ton of forwards drafted this year and next year.

The offense is dismal but the next 2 drafts should improve that. Hoping for Fantilli personally, not getting my hopes up for Bedard given the low probability. But wow, we sure are going to need a top 6 center as Kurashev is never going to pan out to one. Clearly through trades or free agency we will need to acquire a veteran stud or 2 for top 6 roles given how thin it is and knowing some of these guys never pan out.

So many defensive guys, and you missed a few as well, but Vlasic to me is going to be a locked in as a really good top 5 guy. Korchinski is going to be a PP beast. The net is the defense doesn't need much at this point other then patience.

I still think Ryan Green will end up being a big part of the next generation roster. But, if we need a 2C I'm sure we could get one FA or via trade. If all these prospect pan out we'll have plenty of cap.

Curious on positioning. Are you saying you don't think Dach and Nazar will develop into centers but will instead play wing, or just at that point in their career?

Greene looks like a potential solid 3C guy, but maybe we get lucky and turns into a 2C.

Nazar is likely a winger IMO, and Dach to me is a bottom 6 guy, perhaps on the 3rd line next to Greene...maybe 4th liner if he can't improve him skating.

It's really hard to tell until these guys get into preseason and or the AHL so these are just my wild predictions.

It's critical the Hawks get Bedard or Fantilli, they need a huge boost to their forward prospects and should also get a nice piece with the late first as well.

If all goes well assuming we land Bedard or Fantilli and a few more pieces develop (Greene, Reichel, Vlasic, Korchinski, etc.) and with all the cap they will have to add a couple big names, we can potentially see a competitive team the season after next ( '24/'25 season) playing for a wild card spot.

You're under the cap floor by about 20 million. And even with Murphy and McCabe off LTIR and on the roster, still about 14 million under the floor.

this is just the roster lmao. I only predicted contracts for players that have played an NHL game.

I'm hoping for 2 legit top 6 C prospects out of the 2023 draft. Fantilli or Carlsson would be one. Need to find a 2nd with those other 3+ 1st's and 2nd's. I'm also hoping Ilya Safanov finds his way to the Hawks. He'd gotten markedly better since being drafted. He'd be another strong option for a bottom 6 C I feel.

Plenty of cap space to for a couple veteran free agents to fill the "Hossa" role on this new edition of the Hawks
