I think we only move Smith if were getting a bigger fish. Replace him with a 2nd and add Hallander

If I'm the Penguins, I'd rather pay Kapanen and McGinn their combined $5.95M and have some bottom-6 depth than pay $6.65M for Boeser to be getting 3rd line minutes.

that's exactly how you ruin cap space... 2 unproductive 3M players vs productive 6M players who is prolly worth a 2x5M

Boeser has some of the worst analytics in the entire league…..

It takes a special type of player to make me say “I’d rather have Brock McGinn,” but Boeser is that guy. Not even sure I’d prefer his 3 years to rackell’s six. He’s that bad.

that's exactly how you kill your team's depth - trading two slightly overpaid bottom-6 players for one overpaid middle-6 player. You've got a 20 man roster here with no room for an extra body - but hey, I'm sure a team with 5 guys that are 35+ years old isn't going to have anyone need a night off, right?

Lmao no. Smith himself nets a 2nd. Kapanen can get a 3rd.

I only do breakdowns for my subscribers 🙄

Info is available for free online at your convenience bro. You don’t even need a subscription service since half this **** ends up on Twitter anyway.

Here is some reading for you bro. I‘m assuming you don’t really follow analytics and wanted me to do a deep dive on my own, but you would be better off going straight to the source. Enjoy!

Spot on. Although McGinn and Kapanen haven't been ideal this season, Boeser as a single contract is way worse. Also, Sullivan would absolutely hate his style of play.
