Slightly different approach

Description
A different approach instead of doing the stereotypical Rangers move of burning through young assets/picks for aging veterans for a playoff "dream." I do think this team needs a top 6 right winger, however I don't know if that puts them over the top to beat a team like Boston. I think last year was an "overachievement" which led to higher expectations this year.

NSH trade is done at the trade deadline. I would honestly pay up to a 2nd RD pick for him.

Lets try to use our two 1st RD picks a different way. Florida's pick right now is about the 10-12th pick, NYR's and Dallas pick could be 22-30th depending on where they finish. Not sure if this gets it done but it does give Montreal more changes at some good players.

**Chris Kreider needs to move over to the RW at 5v5 and allow Laf to play on his natural side in top 6. I also think that 3rd line could be a really good checking line with some offensive threat.

Exactly what you just said, the deepest draft since 2015...More lottery tickets to hit those players lol.

They are just depth picks not worth a player who is likely to become a top 6 forward or top 4 Dman those picks have a 25% chance of even being a depth player. No Montreal hangs on to their top picks

The Preds aren't really inclined to sell low on Jeannot. Better to bridge him and see if he bounces back.

Montreal and Nashville decline pretty easily, doesn't seem like you considered their needs that much.

Montreal already has two high firsts and a high 2nd, and could get more picks as well. They also have a pretty deep prospect pool. No real reason to move down that much for an extra late 1st. Its a deep draft particularly in the lottery range (up to around 15-16). Montreal's going to need a better reason to move out of that range.
