I would be more than shocked, Lou doesnt seem to be the type to do that, doesnt seem like the right thing either. Id assume a 8-8.5x7 extension.

Assuming the Hawks still have a retention slot to use on AA, they probably accept. Although they'd prefer a young F over Salo.

It would be completely unprecedented, but not impossible. Definitely would be a shocker though. But if he found some way to break even or get back even slightly better assets than he originally spent, I don't think anyone could be upset, aside from maybe the players.

Yup. And not a chance Edmonton pays anything close to that. They've already got 4 RHD and Holland has never once traded a 1st for a rental.
