You'll need to retain on Miller and add Vancouver's first and maybe more if you want to return that much from anyone.

Yep...you have to add a sweetener to get rid of a point per game player. SMH

Cool. I don't think anyone will be upset if Vancouver hangs into him. It's the most likely outcome with that contract.

Find me a point per game player over the last 3-4 years that is making less than Miller. I will wait. His contract is not a hinderance. The ONLY reason Van would even entertain trading him is to get cap space to improve their poor defense.

As I said. Cool. Hang onto him. No one wants that contract.

Scheifele would be an example of an infinitely better player making less than Miller's $8.0 next year.

It's funny how a lot of (not all) VAN fans talk about how amazing Miller and his contract are, yet they're all trying to trade him for below (what should be) market value for a player of his "caliber". Not saying he doesn't put up points, but when diehards are trying to move a supposed long term valuable piece............

I agree. I think he's a decent player, but that contract stinks. Also, just in the Jets particular case, they look to have straightened out the lockerroom issues they had last year, so I can't see them wanting to bring in a player that has been in the middle of them in Vancouver.

I hate to say it cause I really love Paul Maurice, but with the issues now in FLA, it just might have been the coach...........

No kidding eh. I have never liked to blame a coach for a team's issues, I always think the players are far more culpable, but with how things are going in Winnipeg now and how things are going in Florida. It makes you wonder...

Look at when Scheifle signed that deal. Before the start of the 2016-17. His three year prior, he was .67 points per game. Not even close to a point per game player. What do you think he will sign for on his next contract ....will be more than 8M that is FOR SURE.
So, your Scheifle arguement is flawed.
Like I said....VAN DOES NOT WANT to trade Miller. But they need the cap space because of OEL and Boeser.
Btw, Scheifle and Miller have the same point totals this year and I forget, when did Scheif get 99 POINTS? He has never had more than 85.
Also, Miller absolutely OWNS Scheif in the dot.

Van is desperate for cap space. That is the ONLY reason they have entertained offers on him.

Miller is one dimensional and offers nothing defensively. Sorry bud you’re stuck with that contract and personality. He’s literally being paid 8 per till he’s 37? Like?

Just face it, you’re looking at a 5 year rebuild at the least. By the time it’s all said and done Hughes will be a devil

jt is a front line player, who earned his contract, and he isnt leaving vcr unless theres a first pick coming back.but i just dont see the jets needing him, they have a good top 6.i think jt solves some other teams top 6 issues though, like the canes, avs, wild and if stones out vegas.
