Murray is a cap dump, UFA Holl isn't worth very much at all. That just leaves 2 late 1sts and Knies. Not enough to get Karlsson at 50% retained even if you took Murray out. 20-25% retention should be enough to get the Sharks to at least consider it.

But really Toronto doesn't need more offense they need more grit and better team defense for the playoff grind.

San Jose isn’t retaining $30 mil and taking back cap unless there’s 5 1sts worth in the trade
