1. Doubt Goodrow waives for Chicago
2. That can be beat by a lot of teams.
3. I doubt P. Kane goes for less than Tarasenko.

Hawks decline. Nothing in that deal they want other than the 2nd round pick

1. Maybe yea maybe no
2. Doesn’t matter if it can be beat because it’s up to Kane and he gets the say because of NMC. Getting a 2nd and kravtsov for a guy that hasn’t don’t much, is still injured, and can say where he exclusively wants to go is solid.
3. See point above^

1. Pretty sure he put 15 teams on his NTC to prevent being traded to non playoff contenders.
2. Chicago doesn’t have to trade him if they aren’t going to get at least a 1st for him.

1. There’s no guarantee who his 15 teams are
2. They wanna do good by Kane if he wants to move, if he only wants to go to rangers that lowers his value significantly and gives the leverage to drury.

It was up to Giroux last year, he limited a trade to ONE team, and PHI still got a 1st and one of FLA's top prospects. Kane has been given a list of interested teams and he stated that if he makes a decision to accept a trade, there will probably be multiple teams he'd be willing to go to, this was said AFTER the Tarasenko trade, too. Also, 'Kane' and 'hasn't done much' don't belong in the same sentence. He is still on a 60+ point pace with a completely depleted roster that is devoid of skill players. And he isn't hurt, he is fine. If you are going to propose that the rangers acquire Kane, maybe watch a few hawks games before you buy into all the bullcrap out there. Tarasenko has literally been far less healthy than Kane has for a long time now. Sure, Kane is getting older and he has a hip impingement, that bugs him a little from time to time, but he has stated openly that it is not something that really effects him. Doctors wouldn't even let him play if it were anything serious. Guy misses three games for the first time in 7 years and everyone loses their minds. Also, the asking price for Kane already considers all of the factors people keep bringing up as well as comparable trades, you can't use the same coupon twice on a single transaction.

The comp that his speculated price is based on is the Giroux trade, who said he would only waive for one team. If Kane allows multiple teams to be involved that immediately increases his trade value. So, IF Kane does say he will only go to the Rangers, that makes the asking price a 1st and a prospect. I don't think most people on here realize that is where a Kane trade starts, at a bare minimum, considering all possible variables. It is not a price that can be negotiated lower.

Ok, and everyone knew Chicago was rebuilding. It was t like them being this terrible was a shock.

1. I’d be willing to bet teams like Chicago, Arizona, Montreal, etc that were guaranteed rebuilding and going to tank are on his list.
2. You’re assuming he wants to move. There’s a difference between want and willingness. And there’s a lot of assumption he only wants to play for the rangers. I’m sure he wouldn’t mind playing for anyone looking like a contender. I’m sure he’d be willing to go to Boston, Carolina, NJ, TB, Dallas, etc if he really wants to move on.

Think Domi/Lafferty is more realistic in cost and cap. Domi could slot with Kreider and Trocheck, Lafferty round out 4th line.
