Are the Sabres really in need of Timo? Seems like your fanbase is divided on this.

I think most of us would like to get him
Depending on the cost though

Most would be upset if we had to give up Savoie

I see this as a win win for both teams.
BUF can add a Meier and address defence and still have some cap flexibility.
As for SJS first round pick center prospects and first and 2nd round picks in a deep draft is the medicine for rebuilding team.

Don't think Savoie will be included, maybe Ostlund and can't see them wanting Asplund, maybe Mitts instead. Another poster that I talk with here and other places who is very reliable said that the Sabres are still talking about Timo, they have not shut the door. They won't get into a bidding War, but don't be surprised if a offer is made or might have been made already.

Depends on cost and what the plan is. I think we are all willing to give up high value pieces to get him, but it can't be a blank check. Like I'm ok with giving up the 23 first, let's say top 8 protected, plus one of ostlund or Rosen, with somebody like mittelstadt and/or a 2nd. If we have to give up savoie or kulich, I would wanna push the first to 24. Then sign him to 7yrs not more than 9per. If that's possible, I would then put him on a line with cozens and Quinn, with peterka dropping to third line with jost/Krebs and olofsson. I don't wanna pay through the nose to put him on a line with Thompson, Thompson has been getting real production from tuch and Skinner, if meier is actually worth all that we would pay to acquire/sign him, he can help drive a different line. That's just my 2 cents though.
