Feels like the ROR trades on here have become either extreme overpays or extreme underpays. I think the market value will be to start with a '23 1st and add a decent prospect that has some runway. For the Leafs maybe it's 1st + Voit? Maybe Moldenhauer? It won't look too impressive for the Blues IMO but if they can't hold out for a '23 1st then they may not trade him at all.

I hope you consider this an extreme overpay.
There is no way Sandin is moving for a rental.

Just can’t see it being that high. He just hasn’t played well this year. I think slightly more value than toews, which has been reported to be in the 2nd or 3rd round pick range. 2nd rounder and a B prospect for ROR seems right to me.

Yes. An expiring 3.5 M contract is not a plus for Vancouver. So a third for Schenn and then at least a second to take on Kerfoot. Canucks are not trading a 4th to take on another useless contract unless something they really want/need is coming back.

Even if he's not the Selke/Conn Smythe guy, he's a defensive-minded centerman that can play vs top competition, win draws, play both special teams, etc. There is someone out there who will give up a first round pick to get him. Not really concerned about his stats playing on this dumpster fire of a Blues team. Plus GMs have longer memory, in some cases too long. I don't think expecting the 1st rounder is that crazy. Before the season it would've been an insane price. Surely it has come down but I believe there is
a threshold where it no longer makes sense for the Blues to move him, and I think that value on the scale is right at the 1st rd pick.

Simmonds, Anderson and ZAR aren't NHL players, the bottom 6 would be destroyed by TB.

It's not a 2nd to move on from Kerfoot. It's probably Kerfoot for like a 5th or 6th round pick at minimum and Schenn will prob. get a 3rd or 4rth

Kerf is only owed like 200k in actual dollars at this point... 750k base salary this year.
Taking on Kerf is a complete nothing burger

It's not the dollars at this point, but the cap hit. The Canucks want to get out of LTIR, so if they take on Kerfoot it will have to be worthwhile. Either way, the Canucks aren't giving up assets for Kerfoot.....

Maybe, in any case it's a LOONG way from Schenn AND a 4th for Kerfoot.

The Canucks can get actual long term assets for Luke Schenn. Kerfoot is not an asset…

Maybe a protected 2024 pick.
