Description

Probably not a trade that will actually happen, but it would be an interesting one nonetheless. Both players were top 10 picks in the 2018 draft and both have failed to get their careers in order with their current teams for a variety of reasons. In Kravtsov’s case, barely obtaining any ice time due to constant mistreatment by Gerard Gallant and in Zadina’s case, a lack of confidence. Both players are still young though and a change of scenery could benefit both of their careers.

Detroit declines. Yzerman isn't retaining on Zadina for 2.5 years. Kravtsov doesn't move the needle for me anyway.

I'm actually intrigued by this, but definitely needs more from the NYR side of things. Maybe add in Zac Jones if DET could use a young, skilled LD? Or a 2nd round pick. I don't think it should cost a 1st rounder.

Kravtsov for Zadina is not an impossible idea, but there's no way that Detroit will retain for three years.
