The pick would need to be the better between Florida's and Edmonton's and no chance the Jets accept Anderson as a cap dump. Ylonen needs to be upgraded to Dach.

Winnipeg simply doesn't have enough bad, long term contracts to send back to Montreal to make trading Anderson possible. No one is taking him without sending back bad contracts or cap dumps.

thinking the habs would move dach for dubois is laughable. Not to mention the cheap conctract hes playing on for the next 3 years makes him even more valuable to contenders.

I do agree with this, just think a healthy monahan at 3 mil for only a late 2nd would actually be great value for the canes.

Did I miss something? Monahan has played 25 games this year, and hasn’t played since Dec 5th. Is this information incorrect?

Well they'll have to give up something of value that Winnipeg needs. There's nothing that supports your fantasy of getting a star player for cap dumps and scraps. Why would Winnipeg accept an awful return instead of trading him elsewhere for more if they have to move him?

Perhaps MTL should wait until Dubois hits free agency? Seems like a lot to give up for a player they could have for nothing in another year.

everyone knows hes signing in mtl next offseason as a ufa. Brings his value down around the league as hes nothing but a rental

He's never said that at all. It's just a fantasy of yours. Look at what Horvat got as a rental. PLD is younger, better and has a full year of team control. He'll get at least as much as Horvat got.

Why would he limit his earning potential and commit to a bad franchise, when he'll be in high demand?

That's what he did when he accepted his QO this past summer.
