They won’t have the cap if they can’t move kar, and I bet timo wants out and won’t resign

Yeah they're selling Meier 100% but that offer won't get him

They can afford Meier long term or with his QO, that isn’t an issue. Selling your best asset for a rental is foolish. Would you trade Larkin for a pending ufa and middling spare parts? Meier to Detroit starts with a 1st and edvinsson at least

Oh we have the pieces to get him but it's this year's 1st rounder plus something else that's gonna hurt to go get him. I'm all for buying him but I think if it comes to edvinsson or Kasper there's no chance it gets done. If it's Wallinder and Rasmussen plus the 1st then sure.

I think you are undervaluing Albert, very bright future as a top 4 dman. But yes the 2nd and 3rd should be changed for a 2024 1st (protected obviously)

So maybe a B prospect? That still doesnt get it done. If berggren or edvinsson aren’t in it I’m out on a Timo to Detroit trade

If San Jose is trading Meier they aren't taking a gamble on a 22y/o AHL Dman that 'might' have a bright future. You either get yourself a damn good prospect, or you get a pick and hope to strike gold. Johansson can certainly be a part of the deal, but not the main prospect that you bring in to get people excited about your future.
