This is true. I’d say he’s staying a wing then. Players I think could be traded today are kubalik, zadina, and suter. But with them all being relatively young the return would have to be something Stevie can’t pass up

Rather keep zadina. Not a fan of coms play style. At least with zadina he plays hard when not being effective offensively

Seattle adding more for playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>trevorstanley21</b></div><div>Perron is an offensive veteran who has won a cup before and has experience in the playoffs. Also Tolvanen has been good since being picked up, but it won’t hurt to lose him for perron and considering they still have young assets
Detroit gets a young player in Tolvanen who has found some luck recently and hopefully can breakout in detroit, replacing tyler bertuzzi on the 1st line. If not, they also get a decent 3rd pick in 2024 and this years 6th rounder</div></div>
That veteran presence will come at a steeper cost in my opinion. I’m sure almost every team in a playoff position wants this player and if Det retains 50% then he will become the hottest commodity today and fetch a lot more

You don’t think Perron is worth that return on a 2 year deal half of witch is retained

Honestly it’s a weird trade because he has a good sized contract but he also has potential. In my mind I’d go for an under achiever deal such as
Zadina
Erne (for some salary equality)
2024 2nd
Boser

They would need to pay more than that. He’s signed for next year as well and you’re asking Det so retain 2.5m lol. Going to cost 1st 2nd and a good prospect at least.
Also side note it could be a good trade to send some cap away

Karlsson Red Wings
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Pderieu</b></div><div>They need an elite defenseman who can captain our PP. We struggle to generate offense from our D and Karlsson is a massive upgrade over Hronek. On top of that we have quite a few swedish players in the pipeline who could definitely use a mentor the next few seasons (Edvinsson, Soderblom, Raymond,Berggren, etc). If the Wings can get him at 35-40% retained he will definitely improve their playoff odds this year, and significantly improve them in 2024. The bottom line is the Wings need to start playing in competitive games to get valuable experience, and if Karlsson is healthy he will definitely help them get there.</div></div>
They can just buy a veteran in free agency to mentor if that’s what they want. This is a steep price for him and also I don’t see Stevie y giving up any picks in the top 60 for 2023

Very bad trade for Detroit… they are giving up a young Center and a veteran power forward who is very good on the pk and getting a worse Center and a bottom line guy who had little production on a team with so much scoring talent…

I like this trade, it addresses detroits need for rhd and also gives Edmonton a great grit player to slot in anywhere from top line to bottom.

Would you take on 7.5m for an injury prone player? Also would you give up all these good assets? Think of it as taking on druin lol

Key words “this year”. He was in a 5 year slump, just because he’s great this year is doesn’t mean he will be able to keep this up after being traded (which caused the first slump)

22-23 DRW Playoff Push Pt 1
You’re looking at a guy that’s signed for a few years and he’s a ppg player. I’d think that they will demand the trade to start with a 23 1st and wallander. So here is what I would think is fair;
2023 1st
Wallander
Veleno
Varana (keep in mind this guy is a proven goal scorer and point getter, one bad season doesn’t make a good player bad) look at ek65
