I don't think SY would give up a 23 2nd. Maybe a 24, but it's a good trade at it's base.

I like this deal, but I think it would have to be the 2023 2nd for Vancouver.. Zadina just doesn't have any real value at this point beyond reclamation project - at least Boeser has 35 points in 47 games (unless the above info has just not updated), not what one would hope for per se but respectable nonetheless. Change of scenery could do him well.

As for Zadina, yes, just a floater right now, so not worth much on the market, but IF the Canucks can resurrect him, lined up next to Pettersson and Kuzmenko, say, it could look pretty good for them.

Ahhh yes, the old "23 year old reclamation project." Zadina certainly has PLENTY of value to a rebuilding team.

Like Yakupov did to Colorado? .. not to belabor a point, but Zadina has had plenty of time to show he has at least something there. This isn't his sophomore season. 23 years old doesn't mean much to me when a prized prospect many thought would go 3rd overall has spent a good 4 years trying to find his way and has, really, nothing to show for it yet.

That is my reasoning smile

Unlike with Lafreniere, I don't think there are many who think that Zadina should be untouchable because he might blossom elsewhere..

OK, honest question, do you think any of Jesse Pulijarvi, Max Comtois, Nils Hoglander, Casey Mittlestadt, etc have value?

And just for the record DET is still a rebuilding team

PLUS, I completely agree with you, I said it in my post about how Vancouver would win if he revitalized his career there... What I was saying is that his value in the trade market is not high.

Mmm, for me, Mittelstadt is getting there steadily, but not the others lol.

Canucks probably take this, if it stays a 23 2nd.

Even without having a 24 2nd right now.

Project, and pick. I like it.

I like this deal too. Both teams probably say no to each other tho. Detroit needs to give up more but I don’t think Detroit will make the playoffs so they might not do this

I agree, I’d rather put Shai in this. Also I’d say Det needs to add another small piece (24 3rd)
