What's interesting to me is that I rarely if ever hear about the Stars being "in" on any of the top deadline candidates. Maybe they play close to the vest, but the insiders can still sniff out who's been talking to who.. seems strange given they should be going for it just as much as anyone else..

Nill is notorious for playing things pretty close to the vest. Stars have probably kicked the tires on a half dozen players of the top TDL candidates and we'll never hear anything about it, unless he pulls off one of the deals. I've learned not to put much stock into what you hear about Dallas around the deadline because Nill is usually extremely quiet about who Dallas is potentially "in" on.
