  1. Chychrun, Jakob
Additional Details:
Arizona only wants ELCs back for Chychrun. The Sabres are one of the only non tanking teams who can fit him in on the cap. Bishop is an easy money in money out move for the Coyotes where they essentially don’t have to pay him anything and they can continue their conquest for Bedard

A 3rd rounder to retain 2.5M for the rest of the season? Jeez that’s expensive

Could be a 4th, doesn’t really matter all that much. I feel like a 3/4 is the going rate for those double retention deals

We're actually not, We're helping facilitate a trade that makes them markedly worse. Respect to OP for takin out two birds with one stone. Although I'd say the Chychrun ship has more or less sailed.

I would need too see more Owen Power on right side, but there is not time for that. I don't like having two franchise defender playing wrong side.

I recently saw that Arizona rejected a trade where they would have to take money back. So Buffalo would have to keep Ben Bishop. They would be more likely to get cap with picks.

What? Really? How can they expect to get anything done? The Sabres are one of the few teams that could do it, isn't the idea to have as many teams bidding as possible?

Bishop’s actual salary is essentially nothing

If Bryson can play the right side, I think Washington may be a suitor for his services in the offseason with the possibility of losing Van Riemsdyk on the horizon.

Neither Dahlin- nor Power- need an AllStar for a partner
It would be an extreme misuse of Cap, as it would hurt to be paying 3 defensemen big $$$ in 2years

The Chychrun idea is a bad fit for us

He has played both sides in the past,
      and looked good at times,
but also has been pretty inconsistent

good to know. At worst, not a bad depth option to have if Alexeyev struggles, imo.

I was baffled by it too that why I remembered it. I think they are trying to do what Buffalo did.

Leafs play Florida 3 more times, Ottawa twice, NYI once, and Detroit once
