Addison isn’t eligible for Wheeler’s rankings because he’s a full time NHLer.

Wheeler’s rankings are also highly suspect outside of the top 10

OK, well Pronman's does and Addison isn't even in top 150. I was trying to be fair. You won't get Kulich or Ostlund and Rosen is in both there Rankings. So Rosen Mitts is pretty fair, probably more than fair.

He's the same draft as dahlin and Samuelsson, 1 draft later than jokiharju and Bryson and 3 drafts before power. Don't care that he's "only" 22

OK, don't care that you don't. He’s young and still Developing and fits are system at this time.

Addison, Foligno, and the 2nd for Mittelstadt and Ostlund? Upgrade at defense, get Marcus back and second should be good.
Quoting: BUFF36
Addison, Foligno for Mitts and Rosen
Quoting: Stadel
Id do it

I was intrigued by the original post, this last proposal seals the deal.
@Stadel and @BUFF36 It is intresting that over the last 3 games Casey has become the sniper and Victor the set up man.
Mittelstadt with two perfectly placed shots and Olofsson with two excellent assists.

Olofsson has it in him, 29 assists last year. 22 in 54gms the year he played with Eichel.

Check again. Addison is significantly higher than Ostlund and Rosen in Pronman’s list. He’s also higher than Savoie to give you an indicator of how questionable these lists are.

I think Kulich is being overrated because he’s playing in the AHL at 18. But that’s neither here nor there because Buffalo shouldn’t trade him.

I wouldn’t give up Kulich or Savoie at all, and you’d have to convince me to part with Ostlund. Rosen I’d be ok with moving in the right deal.

No reason the Flyers do that, except for the fact that Fletcher is dumb, so it probably happens.

No, I totally missed him on Pronman's list. But he still is a blackhole 5vs5. So I am basically buying what I hope he turns into. And he's being scratched cause of that.

Oh I wasn’t saying you should. Totally understand that for all the 5v5 defensive reasons that have been mentioned. Now if this were Faber, I’d be singing a different tune. I expect him to be an NHL top 4 RD possibly by the end of this season. Spacek looks to be another late round gem as well.

I actually think a Lambos for Ostlund swap could be interesting if Buffalo needs LD. I know you guys have Ryan Johnson, is there any concern he will use the NCAA free agent loophole?

You’ve made your point.

His point is extremely valid though
Addison just isn’t a guy we’d want
Not bc he isn’t good, but we already have Dahlin & Power,
so we just aren’t looking for “offensive” defensemen

And that’s on top of it being extremely unlikely we’d move Kulich in a deal like this
Even for someone like Timo Meier it seems unlikely

There’s just too many wrong pieces on BOTH sides of this trade for it to have any chance in real life

This isn’t the “right” deal though
I think Ostlund could be a main piece in a package for someone like Meier

I would love to get Faber and Team him with Johnson for the next 7 years. Yeah there was concern last year Johnson was gonna walk, but he's got a clear shot at a spot with the Sabres now. And it helps that the Sabres are starting to turn it around.

At first reaction I wanna say no from Buffalo but Addison is a damn intriguing piece and I love me some Marcus Foligno... I'm just also extremely high on Kulich... decent value but I think I balk.

As interesting as Addison is, why would we want an “offensive” defenseman??

For Faber I would want Kulich in return for sure. Too bad we need Faber lol. Our RD pool is Faber (NHL ready), Spacek (prolly 2 years out at least) and a bunch of project prospects like Healey, Masters, Johansson, etc.

He's not 1 dimensional. He's not a Karlsson.

I didn’t say he was
But he isn’t known for his defense either
And wouldn’t be a good partner for Power any time soon either

Plus it’s a crazy overpay
