This might just be my favorite possible tdl for Tampa, maybe have to add a little to mayfeild or lafferty but overall the layout is there and this team is better off than before. Great post

Yeah, it's clear Tampa needs help on the blueline and with team defense in general. I'd rather pay an extra prospect/pick for someone like Mayfield l, who is an actual top 6 dman, than overpay for Schenn or just settle for a Braun, Shattenkirk, or Kulikov(although Kulikov wouldn't be terrible either, and cheaper).

Which available dman could Tampa get with that package? In this agm they already addressed their bottom 6 weaknesses, but they could use a tough dman like Mayfield as well. Tampa has given up 4 or more goals in a third of their games this season(18 out of 55, which is awful). The Isles may not be selling anyway, but I doubt they let him go for less than a 1+. Since Tampa's next 1st isn't until '25, I sweetened the deal a little. Foote's value isn't great anymore(probably at best in the 3rd range, and Koepke or ABB type prospects have similar value). With Tampa receiving a 4th back as well, I don't think it's an overpay.
