It’s a better package than a 1st from the Gavrikov trade, Boqvist + a winger

The money doesnt work like that for LA, they need to dump Petersen so that probably caused the problems.

They are probably trying to work something out with Vejmelka as well but ARI really want Clarke but LA won’t budge, so ARI will take the best offer at the last minute for Chychrun

Petersen has trade protection (10-team) so he probably blocked the deal.

Vej + dumping Petersen is gonna cost at least a first on top of two firsts and a second equivalent. So unless Clarke is included I can’t see the Yotes going for that

As a jackets fan I’m hoping for something like 23 first (gav trade), jackets 2nd (should be top 40 pick), boqvist, and bemstrom.

Boqvist honestly can replace chychrun offensively. They have nearly identical point production age wise. I think he would easily get a late first if traded right now after seeing the returns for Lundkvist and Romanov.

Yeah, whatever it was I suspect it was something regarding Petersen, whether it was him or over him. It could have been that Yotes asked to upgrade the RD prospect to Clarke or maybe they asked for Byfield over Turcotte or an additional 1st.

I think Arizona's asking price is a bit higher than that. Depends on what winger has to be sent along.

Yeah, well they want a bit of an overpay, I'm not too familiar with the CBJ prospects but if Bemstrom isn't a stud I don't think that gets it done with the Jackets 2nd, but it could. It certainly is a fair deal with Boqvist in there considering his age, where he was taken and contract. So, maybe it does work.

Do you think SK101's suggestion can do it? I'm not too sure how good Bemstrom is, but I think having a high 2nd would have them interested, although it is possible that after a trade that the Blue Jackets to improve some.

Bemstrom is more of a throw in. Probably middle six winger/3rd line type guy

Depends on what winger prospect we are talking about here because while Dumais is basically a coin flip for breakout or bust in the league he would be by far the most intriguing option Arizona would be asking for.
