I don't love the return for Ottawa. Gauthier is HUGE but he looks to just be a 4th liner at best.

I think Motte could have fetched a 3rd round pick or so. Which I would have taken over Gauthier and the 7th.

Win for NYR in my mind.

Gauthier, for his size, is a pretty good skater, however he just couldnt find himself a role on the Rangers. I think he has the potential to be a 3rd line player but thats probably the peak.

If Gauthier could finish, he would be top 6. He is so big and fast and drives the net but he finishes 1 out of 20. I like the kid and sorry to see him go, but would much rather have Motte for the playoffs.

I go for who ever is cheaper to acquire between Bjugstad and Lafferty, either one would fill that last hole.
