Is this near the realm of possibilities? Edm grabs another middle six scorer with little defense, clears the right side for buchard or karlsson, and sheds some salary.

Det offloads Chariot and gets someone who will prob be a better pairing for Edvinsson next year

Ceci is a bottom pairing RD in Detroit, Puljujarvi holds no value for us. Plus a 2nd round pick for Chiarot and Kubalik @ 50% retained for 1.5 years. Hell no Detroit passes big time. it's not an upgrade for us.

Chiarot is a bottom pair on Det! and worse, he’s not a good compliment to either Mo or Hronek. Cici has a year less term at a mill less $. One for one, det would have to add. Next year, Edvinsson and Johansson are expected to compete for a spot, both Lefties, Cici would be a better compliment to either in my opinion.

I don't think either team would want to do this. I can't imagine Edmonton would want to swap Chiarot's contract for Ceci's, and I don't think Detroit is keen to add another RHD and Stevie Y is unlikely to trade a player they just gave a long term deal to this past off-season.

It's looks bad on both ends but I'd take ceci for 3 years over Chairot any day. I hate retaining on kuby though but gaining a 2nd isn't bad. If you wanna dump Chairot you can't get much better than this.

I can’t see him lasting the duration of the contract, it just hasn’t worked out. He’s probably a buyout candidate with no real trade options

Love how the two disgustingly notorious homers come in saying how bad it is for Detroit (morehitzseider & hockeyismypassion), when this would be a clear win for Detroit.

With that being said, Edmonton declines.

Mantha had value though his contract was looked at as a positive which is the opposite of Chairot I think he'll be difficult to get rid of.

I dont think it's a great trade either way. Ceci and Chiarot are both not good, and yet both can look at times, but generally not.
