Personally i'd go after shatty if we're getting a RHD from anahiem. He can replace johnson on third pairing and will come a lot cheaper.

IF (contrary to the comment by esteemed Colorado authority @coga16, above, who should know) the Avs need a stopgap until the playoffs, wouldn't Sean Walker make more sense? He'd be cheaper to acquire, has another year left on his contract, has a lower cap hit than Klingberg 50% retained, is better defensively, and is a better fit all-around.

luke schenn price is apparently a 3rd according to Friedman. 900k at a low cost RHD filler makes more sense

If that's his cost, then yes, I agree with you 100% he's the guy to get, but the Vancouver guys have him at a second and a prospect now because he leads the league in hits.

They turned down a 2nd for him last year and now they are trying to extend him, I have no clue what they are doing or building in Vancouver

'24 1st, '25 2nd, Ranta and maybe a low end pick for Klingberg and Rico both 50% retained.
