Description
Latest 32T, Elliotte wonders about Sheary to MN.

If WASH only wants a high future (2nd-ish?) for Sheary, then I'm not sure I can see it. If it's a 3rd or 4th and a some filler piece, then maybe?

Idk, a deal that appeals to both isn't immediately jumping out at me, but I'm not overly familiar with Caps' needs.

It still blows me away that 95% of broadcasters mispronounce his name.

Lol is it Sherry like the Frankie Valli song? Or Sheary like a set of scissors? Or neither?

Caps probably accept that. We need just need picks/prospects. Issue is I don't think we need Steel, we already are having a hard time fitting the kids we have.

I think caps would see the Rackell deal last year as a comp and look for a second, but if this was the final return I would be fine with it

Makes sense - wasn't sure what the ideal package was from Caps' side, but figured it'd be a 2nd. Steel is just a filler piece, but he can certainly be dropped or swapped.

I don't see MN giving up a 2nd, given Guerins comments around that, but if there's a package to be worked out that doesn't involve a 2nd then I could maybe see it.

I’d want at least a second for Sheary or someone more useful than steel.

I'd be very surprised if you got more than a 2nd, but to each their own.

Considering his role, his versatility, his cap hit, his ability to play special teams, and his versatility, it's pretty fair.

Yeah he's got the playoff experience and cups to boot. I'm not necessarily saying the ask is unreasonable, I just don't know that I see him kicking back a 2nd + additional in this market.

TBD though, he's a good player. I could be proven wrong.
