Description
Honestly, I'd prefer going for an entirely different top 6 forward, even if it means paying more. But here's what I'd do if I was GM and the owners forced me to acquire Duchene and Eberle:

A straight up Hamonic for Duchene trade is already being discussed. Personally, I think Snow is trying to start negotiations in a more favorable terrain for himself (before anyone thinks this is asinine, Sakic did the same thing last season, only he demanded way too much). I think value ends up higher than just Hamonic, but not by much. I think both teams walk away very happy in a "Hammer and a 1st for Duchene" trade.

With Hamonic dealt, Eberle becomes harder to acquire. Personally, I think this package of dynamic young forwards, all of whom have good potential, should get the deal done. If EDM wanted de Haan, then I'd say substitute him for any of the forwards already in this deal. With de Haan likely going to Vegas, it really wouldn't make too much of a difference to NYI.

After that, protect:

Tavares
Duchene
Eberle
Lee
Ladd
Nelson
Bailey
Boychuk
Leddy
Pulock
Greiss

Giving way to much for Eberle. I'd say strome Dall colle or strome and a future 2nd get it done. EDM wants to clear cap they want the trade more then us

That's a lot for Eberle. Maybe Ho-Sang and a few picks.

I think if we're going to ask EDM for Ebs, they need a defenseman coming back or a slight overpayment in forwards. I opted for the second option. The value is definitely too much, but if trading away Hammer for Duchene means not trading him for Eberle, we have to take into consideration that EDM probably doesn't address their needs in a trade with us. Therefore, a slight overpayment is necessary.

Also a hard no on trading Ho-Sang. We have no good RW prospects outside of him.

Hawkisles you said you would go for another top 6 forward over Eberle. Who could the isles get? I think its an interesting idea considering some uncertainty around ebs

Y'all want David Perron? Did well with Getzlaf in ANA and was great as a 2nd line guy in EDM. Blues will need to shed some cap depending on the expansion picks.

I'd go after Wheeler (Hamonic, Strome and Beauvillier?). Natural RW, very skilled, very experienced. Then I'd go after Anisimov. The Blackhawks are looking to shed cap weight (de Haan's rights and Dal Colle?). Wheeler would cost more, but it'd be worth it.
