Idk, tbh Calgary probably doesn't do that trade. Their C depth would be shaky going forward.

Trading Elias Lindholm could possibly be the worst thing Calgary could do. I think the value is close, though, and if he’s available he would be beyond perfect for Detroit. He is the epitome of an Yzerman type player, even reminds me of him a bit.

Personally, I wouldn’t trade an empty bag of Funyuns for him but, if anybody is inclined to overpay with picks at the deadline; it’s the Penguins.

Wrong. The Pens had Kubalik and was a terrible fit. They shipped him out because of coaching issues.

EDIT: Sorry, totally brain fart. Wrong Dominik lol. I was thinking of Dominik Kahun.

Regardless, you'd have to take a player like Blueger back. The Pens have zero space.

If you swapped Oesterle with Lindstrom (RFA for VAN cap space and significantly younger) that may be a bit more enticing. Or one of the mid tier LHD prospects (Viro/McIsaac).

Nah package is pretty weak tbh. With this and another year remaining on a super cheap contract for a 1C i would be looking at something much closer to what Colorado got for Duchene (not Byram esque but more just a mid/high pick in value). I don't see particularly high potential in Johansson, he would be fighting with the likes of Kuznetsov in our LD depth chart.

Velano is more or less ehat he is at this point, a bottom 6center that's physical. He would be below Ruzicka amd soon to be Zary for sure.

Heard. Personally, I’d be asking for Kasper back and if the Wings were closer to contending for a Stanley Cup, I’d do it in a heartbeat, but we’re not. I’d possibly be willing to move Wallinder, though. There aren’t many players I’d be happy moving him in a deal for but, I think Lindholm is one of the very best players in the NHL. After guys like McDavid, Mackinnon and those caliber of players, Elias is in that next tier to me.

I feel like the 3rd alone could be enough but, with the positional value and physicality Schenn brings to the table, his demand could be as high as a 2nd so, I could see your point. I’d be fine with your suggestion. I figured hanging onto Lindstrom would be more valuable to us since we don’t have much to speak of at RHD.

Tell ya what, things got a little outta hand back there. Just whatever you do never offer Kubalik to us for a 2nd again.

I personally hate the guy but he’s scored 30 goals in a season in his career and is on pace for 25 goals and 55 points 55 games into this season, that’s worth something.

I would rate him somewhere between 10-15 among centers in the NHL

Yeah realistically he gets maybe a 4th + a 6th lol
